Now Health WorldCare Plan Levels

WorldCare Essential

Are you looking for core coverage in case of an accident or health crisis? The Essential Plan was designed to cover you for the high costs associated with significant medical events outside of your home country. The WorldCare Essential level takes care of people who want to be sure they can access in-patient and day-patient healthcare when they need it. The plan offers a broad range of annual deductibles for those who want to keep their premiums as low as possible. If you want to add a small amount of out-patient treatment to your plan, there is an option to add it for an additional cost.

WorldCare Advance

The Advance Plan is similar to the Essential Plan but has some additional elements. Like the Essential Plan, the Advance Plan covers you for in-patient and day-patient care. It also covers you for out-patient treatments including regular doctor visits and special appointments, such as physiotherapy and other alternative therapies. If you want to save on your premiums, choose from a wide range of annual deductibles for in- and day-patient treatment, as well as out-patient treatment per visit excess and co-insurance options.

WorldCare Excel

WorldCare Excel offers higher benefit limits and broader coverage than WorldCare Advance. WorldCare Excel covers subscribers for in-patient, out-patient, and day-patient treatment, all at higher benefit levels than WorldCare Advance. The Excel level also includes routine and complex dental care after a nine-month wait period. Like the Essential and Advance Plans, Excel also offers a wide range of deductibles to help keep your premiums as low as possible.

WorldCare Apex

The Apex Plan is WorldCare's most comprehensive plan with very high benefit limits. Apex includes in-patient, day-patient, and out-patient treatment at higher levels than WorldCare Excel. Routine maternity care after a twelve-month waiting period is also offered to those who purchase the Apex Plan. If you are planning to start a family while away from your home country, the Apex Plan will provide you with the highest level of cover.

How Much Does a WorldCare Plan Cost?

Your WorldCare plan premium is initially based on your age and your region of residence. The number of dependents on your plan will affect your premium level. Your premium will also change based on the options you select. For example, a higher tier plan will have a higher premium. Adding optional coverage will also increase your premium. You can decrease your premium costs by increasing your deductible, among other factors.

WorldCare Eligibility

People residing in nations that are not covered by Now Health WorldCare plans may not receive insurance. Membership may also depend on local legislation in your country of residence. You must meet local legislation requirements in your country of residence at any time before and while you are a member of Now Health WorldCare medical plans.

Age limits also restrict eligibility. The minimum age to apply for a Now Health medical WorldCare plan is 18 years of age, and the maximum entry age is 79. You must be under 80 years of age at the entry date of your WorldCare plan. If you are adding dependents to your medical WorldCare plan, they must be covered under the same level of benefits as the plan holder.

Full Medical Underwriting

Now Health requires each person covered by their plans to complete and return an application form, including the medical declaration. If you answer yes to any of the medical questions, you must provide details of the date and diagnosis, past/current and known future treatments, and details of the frequency and severity of symptoms, including the date of the last episode. If they are available, you should also provide any medical reports or test results with your application. All information will be treated in strict confidence. If you submit a claim for the treatment of any condition which you omitted to tell Now Health about, or you omit to tell Now Health everything about any condition, Now Health may refuse to pay that claim.

Now Health WorldCare FAQs

What happens if my information changes after I have applied for my plan?

All of Now Health‘s quotations are valid for 30 days and you can apply for cover up to 60 days in advance of your requested start date. If your information changes in between any of these periods of time, please tell Now Health as soon as possible as it might have an impact on your application. An example of a change of information might be a change of address for you, a member of your plan moving to another country or a change in the medical condition of any of the people in the plan. If you’re not sure whether a change in your information is important, please let them know so they can correctly assess your application.

Where can I get treatment?

You can get treatment for eligible medical conditions worldwide. You may be able to access our provider network if you have a nil excess or have elected to buy our out-patient direct billing option so that you can obtain treatment without paying up-front.

Alternatively, you can contact your nearest service team to check eligibility and place a guarantee of payment for you, so you don’t need to pay in advance.

The third option is to pay and claim your expenses back. Providing your claim is eligible and the charges are reasonable and customary, you can recoup your expenses. You will, of course, have to pay for any excess or co-insurance that is due on your plan option.

How do I check if a condition or treatment is eligible?

The first place to check for eligibility is the members’ handbook. You will find a copy in the "My plan" section of your online portfolio area. Check which plan option you have and any additional options you have selected on your plan. You can check to see if the benefit you want to claim under is fully covered up to the annual maximum benefit limit, has any annual or lifetime limits in place, or isn’t covered.

If you are in any doubt, please call your nearest customer service team, who will be happy to help.

When can I apply for health insurance?

All of Now Health’s quotations are valid for 30 days and you can apply for cover up to 60 days in advance of your requested start date.

When do I pay for treatment?

If you inform Now Health of your medical treatment ahead of time they will arrange to pay the hospital or doctor. If you do not inform Now Health ahead of time then you can submit a claims form to be reimbursed for the treatment up to 6 months after the treatment. If you have chosen a deductible, then you will have to pay the amount yourself.

How do deductibles work?

Members may choose from a wide range of annual deductibles for in- and day-patient treatment, all the way up to $15,000 for those who want to keep their premiums as low as possible. The deductible you choose is what you must pay out of pocket towards your medical bills annually before Now Health will pay your bills.

Am I covered for dental treatment?

WorldCare Excel and Apex are the only WorldCare levels that offer coverage for routine and complex dental care.

Am I covered for inpatient treatment?

All four WorldCare levels (Essential, Advance, Excel, and Apex) provide coverage for in and day-patient treatment.

Am I covered for outpatient treatment?

WorldCare Advance, Excel, and Apex provide coverage for outpatient treatment. WorldCare Essential does not provide coverage for outpatient treatment.
