You may also find many specialists (e.g., internists or radiologists) outside hospitals in Germany, meaning you do not even have to go to a hospital unless in emergencies.
Be forewarned that the smaller private hospitals in Germany may not offer emergency services. You’ll typically get treatment even if you can’t provide proof of health insurance when you arrive in an emergency room. Should you have no insurance, treatment and admittance will be costly.
