Short-Term Global Health Plans

The main difference between international health and travel medical plans lies in the length of coverage and the level of benefits. Short-term health insurance, or a travel medical policy, can meet visa requirements and provide emergency medical protection worldwide while you wait to enroll in a local plan in your new country.

A well-planned travel itinerary is essential for a shorter trip abroad. Please read our guide to the best travel insurance companies to find the best plan for you.

Staying Abroad for Less Than a Year?

A travel medical plan may be more appropriate if you need temporary emergency coverage rather than ongoing healthcare while living abroad.
