Now Health SimpleCare is an affordable international health plan for digitally savvy professionals, offering comprehensive, benefit-rich coverage at a lower cost than traditional executive expat insurance.
Now Health SimpleCare, launched in 2018, was designed in response to the growing number of digitally-savvy younger executives moving abroad for work. SimpleCare offers more affordable healthcare plans than traditional corporate executive expat insurance plans. Although the SimpleCare plans are cost-effective, they still provide comprehensive and benefit-rich coverage. SimpleCare is exclusively offered online, making it efficient and easy to address all your needs. Members can access their plan documents or submit a claim through their profile on the website or the Now Health app.
The three plans offered through SimpleCare are Core, 100, and 250. Each plan provides coverage for major health events, and customers can also opt to add additional coverage elements if desired. Depending on your region of residency, SimpleCare plans may also offer you the choice of coverage only in your region or worldwide, excluding the USA. (SimpleCare plans do not cover the USA.) The three plans offered are all transparent, meaning you know what is and is not covered. Each plan also offers multiple deductible options, allowing you to meet both your needs and your budget. And because Now Health understands what matters, you will always receive excellent service.
Now Health SimpleCare has three plan levels: CORE, 100, and 250. Each plan level provides affordable basic health coverage.
Now Health offers a range of deductibles across each of the SimpleCare plans to help members lower their premiums.
Now Health’s digital tools enable members to manage their plans entirely online.
Now Health promises to process and pay claims within 5 working days.
SimpleCare CORE is designed for cost-conscious individuals seeking reliable access to high-quality healthcare. It covers major inpatient treatment, including hospitalization, surgery, cancer care, medical evacuation, and repatriation. This plan focuses on essential protection and does not include outpatient care, making it a strong option for those prioritizing hospital coverage. Eligible residents in Africa, Europe, and Southeast Asia, excluding Singapore and Indonesia, can choose regional coverage or worldwide coverage excluding the USA.
SimpleCare 100 expands on CORE by adding outpatient benefits while remaining affordable. In addition to full coverage for hospitalization, surgery, cancer treatment, evacuation, and repatriation, it includes enhanced benefits for organ transplants. The plan also covers outpatient services, including routine doctor visits, prescription medications, and physiotherapy. Members can choose between regional or worldwide coverage, excluding the USA, and lower their premiums by selecting from a range of deductible options.
SimpleCare 250 offers the highest level of coverage within the SimpleCare range. It provides comprehensive inpatient benefits, including hospitalization, surgery, cancer treatment, evacuation, repatriation, and strong organ transplant coverage. This plan offers the most comprehensive outpatient benefits, covering routine care, prescription medications, physiotherapy, and dental treatment. Like the other SimpleCare plans, members can select regional or worldwide coverage excluding the USA and customize deductibles to manage premium costs.

Premiums are calculated based on several factors. Your age and the country in which you will be residing determine the base cost of your premium.
You can customize your premium according to the level of coverage you select, the geographical area of coverage you choose, the deductible you select, and the co-payment and deductible options you choose for outpatient coverage.
SimpleCare CORE, which only provides inpatient coverage, is the most affordable plan level. SimpleCare 100 and 250 include as much or more inpatient coverage than CORE, and share most of the same outpatient benefits, but SimpleCare 250 has higher medical maximums and also includes dental coverage.
Now Health has designed SimpleCare for people who want to access healthcare internationally. It is primarily suitable for expatriates (individuals who reside outside their country of nationality), but in some areas, local nationals can also purchase coverage.
You must meet the local legislation requirements in your country of residence at all times, both before and while you are a member of Now Health medical SimpleCare plans. Age limits also restrict eligibility. The minimum age to apply for a Now Health medical SimpleCare plan is 18 years of age, and the maximum entry age is 79. You must be under 80 years of age at the entry date of your SimpleCare plan. If you are adding dependents to your medical SimpleCare plan, they must be covered under the same level of benefits as the plan holder.
Now Health requires each person covered by their plans to complete and return an application form, which includes a medical declaration. If you answer yes to any of the medical questions, you must provide details of the date and diagnosis, past/current and known future treatments, and details of the frequency and severity of symptoms, including the date of the last episode. If available, please also include any relevant medical reports or test results with your application. All information will be treated in strict confidence. If you submit a claim for the treatment of any condition that you did not tell Now Health about, or you fail to tell Now Health everything about any condition, Now Health may refuse to pay that claim.
Now Health has designed their product for people who want to access healthcare internationally. It is mostly suitable for expatriates, but there are some territories in which they offer cover for local nationals.
Premiums are based on the ages of the people applying for cover at the entry date or renewal date of the plan and the country of residence of the main insured person, as well as the various plan options they select.
Countries of residence are categorized into areas and the premiums are calculated based on the area and ages of the applicants, as well as the plan options they select.
Now Health operates a full medical underwriting approach, which means that they ask detailed questions about each person’s medical history as part of the application process. It’s important to disclose all the information they ask for as part of this process as anything that hasn’t been disclosed may invalidate the plan.
If you inform Now Health of your medical treatment ahead of time they will arrange to pay the hospital or doctor. If you do not inform Now Health ahead of time then you can submit a claims form to be reimbursed for the treatment up to 6 months after the treatment. If you have chosen a deductible, then you will have to pay the deductible amount yourself.
Members may choose from a range of annual deductibles to help lower their premiums. The deductible you choose is what you must pay out of pocket towards your medical bill annually. The deductible amount must be paid before Now Health will pay for coverage.
Now Health SimpleCare 250 is the only plan from SimpleCare that offers coverage for routine and complex dental care.
All three plans from SimpleCare (CORE, 100, and 250) provide coverage for in and day-patient treatment.
SimpleCare 100 and 250 provide coverage for outpatient treatment. SimpleCare CORE does not provide coverage for outpatient treatment.
