Integra Global is a different breed of international health insurance plan. They work to create plans that strike the right balance of protection and value. Integra Global works with its customers to tailor a suitable plan for their individual requirements, rather than having the customer build a strategy from predefined modules that may not provide precisely the coverage they want. The company treats every customer as an individual and takes pride in its deep-rooted understanding of people’s needs.

Integra Global Insurance, a business built by expats, has your well-being at heart. They have a seamless and straightforward insurance buying process because they understand the extensive journey expats undertake when moving abroad, whether for work or other reasons. Purchasing a plan from Integra means working together to create a bespoke strategy that includes everything you and your family need.

Integra Global Provider Network

International Network of Hospitals and Doctors

Integra Healthcare gives you the freedom to choose any hospital or doctor you wish to receive treatment from. They will work together with any doctor and hospital around the world, provided that they are appropriately licensed and qualified to treat the medical condition.

Two of the coverage area options, China/Hong Kong/Singapore and the UAE, have elected network tier options (see below for further details). Subscribers who opt for coverage in the USA will enjoy significantly higher benefits when utilizing the Integra Preferred Provider Network (see below).

Expats in China or Singapore

Integra has elected network tier options for residents in China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore. They offer Platinum, Gold, and Silver network provider plans. These are based on the accommodation and the level of charges made, and not the standard of medical treatment or the level of the medical facility.

Each tier group is provided with an extensive list of healthcare providers, and members can choose any provider within their network. Members are allowed to seek treatment from a doctor outside of their network, but co-insurance will apply. There is a possibility that you may be required to pay up to 50% of your medical treatment charges yourself if you choose to go out of network. If these expats travel outside China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore, they are not restricted to the tier network.

Expats in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Expats moving abroad to the UAE and GCC region will also have access to a tiered healthcare network. Integra Global has partnered with MedNet to supply its customers in the UAE with an extensive network of hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.

The UAE network is structured based on the quality and price of healthcare physicians and hospitals. The Gold tier network provides members with access to the most excellent healthcare providers, as well as access to more expensive international private clinics. The Silver Premium and Silver Classic network tiers are less costly, and members are provided with access to over 1,000 excellent medical providers.

All services are direct-billed to Integra. Members who travel outside their network in the UAE will need to pay upfront and then claim, and may only receive a partial reimbursement of their claim. Integra urges members to take advantage of substantial discounts if they do not need extensive care while abroad in the UAE. Use the MedNet provider network to locate healthcare professionals available to you in the UAE and GCC.

USA and Canada Preferred Provider Network

Choosing a plan that includes international health insurance coverage in the USA and Canada will result in a higher premium rate due to the higher cost of healthcare in the USA. The plan provides up to 180 days of coverage in the US within any 12 months. Subscribers will receive all the benefits of their plan if they use the Preferred Provider Network (currently UnitedHealthcare). Still, their benefits will be reduced to 70% if they see a provider outside of their network.

Expats who are U.S. citizens or regularly spend time in the USA should consider including U.S. coverage if they plan to return to the United States during their time abroad. Including U.S. coverage is overall beneficial for expats and their families who spend time in the United States, as it allows them to seek medical attention in the USA in the event of an accident. It will also enable subscribers to travel to the USA for medical care if they wish to receive a higher quality of care than is available in their country of residence.

Integra Global Services

Claims Service

There are three different ways in which you can settle your claim with Integra Global. (Please note that the UAE has its own claim rules – see below.) The first option is pre-authorization and direct billing, which is managed by Integra’s partner, Medical Administrators International (MAI). You must contact MAI seven working days before your planned treatment and submit your claim form via yourHealth app or email it directly. The second option is to pay your provider for your treatment in full and then seek reimbursement from Integra. All claim forms must be submitted via the yourHealth app or by email 180 days before your treatment. Lastly, if you received emergency medical assistance, Integra’s partner, Northcott Global Solutions (NGS), will settle the costs directly with your provider.

Claims for UAE subscribers differ from those for the other two coverage areas. The UAE area uses the MedNet International Network to track direct billing, pre-authorization, and claim reimbursement. To claim treatment inside your provider network, you must submit a reimbursement form online within 180 days of your treatment. To claim treatment above $500 outside of your provider network, you must call MedNet for pre-authorization and submit a claim via the MedNet portal. Direct billing is only available for treatment provided by doctors in your tier network.
