Patriot International and Patriot America Platinum plans include inpatient and outpatient services, emergency services, and other services, such as dental treatment, lost luggage, and pet return.
IMG Travel Insurance plans are available for a minimum of 5 days and can be renewed for a maximum of three years if you purchase at least one month of coverage with no break in coverage. Renewals are available in whole month or daily increments and can be purchased online.
U.S. citizens are eligible for the Patriot International Platinum plan for travel outside the U.S. The plan also provides coverage for brief returns to the U.S.
Patriot America Platinum is available to individuals traveling outside their home country and the U.S.
U.S. citizens residing outside the U.S. can also purchase the Patriot America Platinum plan for visits back to the U.S.

How Much Does a Patriot Platinum Travel Medical Plan Cost?
The Patriot Travel Medical Insurance plan ranges from as little as $1.45 per day to as much as $8 per day.
The premium is calculated using your age, medical maximum limit, and deductible. Including optional riders in your plan will also impact the premium amount. You can change your deductible amount and the maximum medical benefit to secure additional coverage or change the total premium charged.
The rates in the tables below were calculated using a $0 deductible. Higher deductibles will lower your rates.

Eligibility Requirements for IMG Travel Insurance
Patriot International Platinum travel insurance is available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents traveling outside of the United States (with coverage included for brief returns to the U.S.) and for non-U.S. citizens traveling outside of their home country.
Patriot America Platinum travel insurance is available to non-U.S. citizens who will be traveling to the United States. U.S. citizens who permanently reside outside the U.S. are also eligible to purchase Patriot America Platinum for trips to the U.S.
Travelers 65 years of age and older visiting the U.S. must begin coverage within 30 days of arrival in the U.S. This requirement is waived with proof of previous valid international travel insurance.

FAQs About the Patriot Travel Medical Insurance Plan
You can extend your IMG Travel Insurance coverage for up to 36 continuous months. You must initially purchase coverage for at least one month to renew your plan. You can then extend your plan for up to one full year.
After one year of coverage, you can renew your Patriot Travel Medical Insurance plan for an additional period, up to 12 more months of coverage. This can be done multiple times for up to a total of 36 months of coverage.
Once you have applied and purchased coverage, you will be provided with a visa letter to use when applying for a visa in any country worldwide. You must determine each country's specific requirements for the coverage level required and then purchase a plan that meets those requirements.
All Patriot Travel Medical Insurance plans meet Schengen Visa requirements if you are traveling to Europe.
The U.S. network for travelers inside the U.S. is UnitedHealthcare. UnitedHealthcare provides travelers with direct access to the following:

- 6,797 hospitals
- Over 45,000 clinics
- 67,000 pharmacies
- 1,800 convenience clinics
IMG's International Provider Access network provides travelers outside of the U.S. with access to quality healthcare worldwide. IMG's proprietary network provides travelers with access to the following:
- Over 18,550 physicians and facilities
- Direct billing arrangements that minimize time and upfront expense
You can purchase an IMG Patriot Travel Insurance policy at any time prior to your trip start date up to the day you travel if you choose.
You can apply a month or more before leaving. It is your choice. Applicants may choose to apply for the Patriot plan after their trip has begun. In this case, coverage will not be effective until the application has been approved and you have paid the applicable premium.
You can change the start and end date for your plan at any time before the current start date without any penalty. There may be an extra charge if your total number of days traveling is more than you initially purchased.
The plan administrator, IMG, will refund your premium if you cancel your policy prior to the start of your trip.
You may also request a cancellation after your trip has begun, but your request may be denied depending on the policy, the reason for cancellation, and the timing of your request.
